hi, nothing much happened recently.
I've nearly finished welder trolley:
dojci decided to change all oils, spark plugs and coolant.
we happened to buy all things in one shop for only 80 euro. bargain.
thereat I bought and changed oil in subarbie too.
and we put starlet on winter rubber:
can't wait for first snow.

back to life
hi, I was quite ill again. I was 3 days in pain, 5 or 6 types of painkillers wasn't working. fortunately my ex is a nurse, so I ended in hospital on infusion on Sunday. now I really know what's the pain.
but I'm good now, there is something wrong with nerve on my right cheek, I'm taking 2 types of meds against pain.
now positive updates, I've made fuseboard for aquarium with lighting timer and plug sockets, because I hate extension cords:
some car updates.
Rebro has lent bimmer of his girlfriend's brother, as turn in we vacum-cleaned and washed it.
before:
after:
group pic of washed cars:
we did some work on Starlet too, here's the hole where I run out of wire:
we decided to chop of rusty lip on trunk, Rebro in action:
outcome:
all interior welds are now coated in weld sealer:
hole after lip partially patched:
and that's all for now. maybe I'll work on Starlet tomorrow. maybe.

sorry
I'm sorry for not updating, I was busy being sick, working and other excuses.
so here's double post for you.
I wasn't on KoD Slovakia 2010, but I had first cool cabrio drive in this year:
some random shot of my ride:
about aquarium filter, I finished it, powered on a realized how fucking noisy that shit is, no, but really you can't sleep in one room with that siphoning noise of overflow. Right now I'm thinking about Eheim eccopro 300.
so, bye bye pic:
and if you remember about the welding trolley I was making, it's like this right now:
end of part one.

grey
yes, everything was grey after I painted my room yesterday with this:
this is how it was painted before, walls light grey, ceiling white:
and now, in dark-ish grey:
few days before I started with welding trolley.
steel:
chopped:
welded:
next time it'll be finished, maybe, or no...
and yes, aquarium progress, filter filled:
but still I miss few things to finish, like stones, lighting, electrical stuff, water and fishes.

going CO2
yes yes, I had bought new things for MAG welding.
CO2 bottle which is made-over fire extinguisher, cheaper than new bottle, and you can change empty one for full in shop, without waiting for refill:
small CO2 pressure regulator:
5kg of 0,8mm wire:nozzle and plug for 0.8mm wire:
then I swapped polarity and checked feeder wheel:
all set:
next time I'll be learning how to weld with CO2 in the process of welding trolley for welder and bottle.
in that case I bought these:

tools and stuff
hi there, update is here. not really.
I wanted to go to garage today, but I ended late in work.
and on top of that I run out of wire wheel brushes, so I must end early tomorrow and don't miss closing hours of tool shop.
but don't worry, I promised post about tools that I'm using, so I made pics in advance.
starting with electric tools, there is angle grinder with cutting and grinding discs.
I have also Dremel that is kind of handy in narrow spaces.
what reminds me that I must buy some grinding stones, cutting discs and some wire brushes for Dremel too.
next are my manual tools of choice.
meter and magic-marker for obvious things, but other four are multipurpose tools.
wire brush for cleaning welds and other stuff.
old screwdriver as chisel, holder of steel that I'm welding, and for picking seam sealer and other stuff.
pliers for cutting welding wire.
and my only and treasured hammer for forming steel.
here's my trusty welder.
all previously mentioned tools I'm using every time when I'm repairing Starlet.
any of them isn't expensive or something, so when you have place, time and hands, you can repair bodyshell.
and you'll learn things as you are working through your own hands, it's not like rocket science or skill you born with.
last thing, working on car must be FUN, so enjoy it.

and it won't be complete without protection things.
good gloves are essential. leather gloves for welding, because I won't burn my hands, and cloth gloves with rubber palms for working with metal and tools.
welding helmet with auto-darkening, dust mask and ear plugs, when you won't lose one of your senses earlier than in sixty.all previously mentioned tools I'm using every time when I'm repairing Starlet.
